The song Christmas in the Sand by Colibe Caillat mentions seeing Santa in his bathing suit. That is incredibly disturbing! But it is a cute song and is SUPER catchy. I find myself singing it out of nowhere. Here's the youtube video:

There are just a couple days until Christmas. It is so exciting! Well, DRR is at my house right now spending the night. She taught me how to make paper snowflakes. Well, we survived the end of the world yesterday. OH YEAH! Anyway, I will most likely post everyday until Christmas and on Christmas.
~XOXO~ God Bless!~ I am so excited! Christmas is in 4 days! I hope you have an AMAZING Christmas. That is, if we can survive the "end of the world" today. I'm just playing. I do not really believe in it. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
That is a rather random title. I just put it there because its my favorite Christmas song along with Rocking Around the Christmas Tree. I am just posting about the whole Focus on the Holidays thing. It was so fun! Also, I start break tomorrow.
I got an alto saxophone today. OH YEAH! Anyway, as you may know my main instrument is a flute. DRR is the same. Maybe in another post I will post all the instruments we play... BUT NOT NOW! DRR and I are in this program called Clarinet/Flute choir. We were supposed to go around town playing Christmas carols on our instruments but that could not happen. At our school homeroom is called focus (you will see why I said this in a second). Our band teacher instead decided to let us play a concert for caroling. We are going to have this during focus and the thing is called: FOCUS ON THE HOLIDAYS! It is on Thursday and I am thrilled!
DRR and I have very different view on finals. If you want her opinion check out her blog. But right now I am going to tell you exactly why finals are not as bad as people make them out to be. The questions can be a little confusing, but you know how to solve them! It is really just a review! Also, test can range from 20-50 questions. This really is not that long. DRR and I only have a 30 question final. At our school, finals testing lasts 2 days at the most. I usually finish a test in half of one class period. That means I have 1 1/2 of my testing time to read and relax. Plus, it means we do not have to learn anything, take notes, or write essays on new information. It is all review! I relatively enjoy my finals time due to these things. Just make sure to study and you will be fine! These finals mark the end of a semester and (starting after school Friday) CHRISTMAS BREAK! I have more news but this post is getting a little long so I will post it after this one!
I have always wondered what exactly fruitcake was. It is a mystery to all. Why would you ruin a perfectly good cake with... With... Umm... Something. Does it even expire? If anyone can answer these quiestions, it'd be awesome. The question itself is FRUITCAKE? It think it is self explanatory.
Remember my last post, where I told the horrors of listening to Jingle Bells over and over and over? Well, during the same concert I experienced a horror of CANDY CANES! Candy canes were being passed out to everyone. People kept asking me if I wanted one. When I said no, they just kept insisting. By the end of the concert, I had 4 candy canes! Then, I opened up a band award I had won. You'll never guess what was in there. CANDY CANES!
First of all, a random fact: Jingle Bells was originally written for Thanksgiving. So what gives for this stereotypical Christmas song? Tonight Danielle and I had a band concert. There were FOUR versions of Jingle Bells. If I hear that song one more time, I will probably explode. What about Rudolph (which by the way was written for a store ad)? Or Santa Claus is Coming to Town? How about Frosty the Snowman? There are SO many more songs I can think of. But NO! Jingle Bells.
DRR and I have been experimenting with elf yourself today. We both agree that "elf-ing" Honey BooBoo's mom is the FUNNIEST THING EVER! In this blog post is an example I put together... Try not to laugh. I dare you. |
